30-Year

James Hardie Fiber Cement

James Hardie backs its fiber cement siding with a 30-year limited, non-prorated product warranty. The ColorPlus factory finish carries a 15-year limited finish warranty. PrimeGuard is a James Hardie ALLIANCE installer.

Replacement windows and vinyl siding carry their own manufacturer product warranties, which vary by product line and cover the material, finish, fade, and glass seal where applicable. We install to spec and hand you the paperwork at completion so those warranties stay valid.

Right to cure

If a covered issue comes up, you contact PrimeGuard. We respond within 5 business days, assess within 30 days, and complete repairs within a reasonable time. Emergencies (active leaks, falling material) get a 72-hour response.

Fine print — honest version

Limits and what they actually mean.

Most contractor warranties hide the limits. Ours are written in plain language and in your signed contract.

Liability cap

Total liability under the workmanship warranty for all claims combined is capped at the total contract price you paid for the project. This protects both sides and is standard in residential exterior warranties.

One-time transferable

Your 2-year workmanship coverage applies during the original homeowner's ownership. If you sell the home within that window, the warranty transfers one time to the next buyer, then ends.

What is the difference between workmanship and product warranty?

Workmanship covers the install — the way your siding or windows were put on the house. Product covers the material itself and comes from the manufacturer. PrimeGuard backs the workmanship; manufacturers back the product.

How long is PrimeGuard's workmanship warranty?

Two years from completion, on every siding and window install, for the original homeowner and one-time transferable. The materials carry separate, longer manufacturer product warranties — James Hardie fiber cement at 30 years, LP SmartSide at 50 years, and the ColorPlus finish at 15 years.

What if you find something wrong after the job is done?

Call (253) 365-9322 or email sales@primeguardexterior.com. We respond within 5 business days, schedule an inspection, and repair anything covered under the warranty.

What invalidates the warranty?

Storm damage, owner modifications, third-party repairs, or failing to report an issue within a reasonable time after noticing it. All exclusions are written in your signed contract.

What about the manufacturer's warranty on my siding or windows?

Each material we install carries its own manufacturer warranty. We hand you the paperwork at project completion and install to spec so those warranties stay valid.
