Metal siding & cladding — Tacoma & Puget Sound

Metal Siding & Cladding Installation in Western Washington.

Metal cladding gives modern Pacific Northwest homes a clean, low-maintenance exterior that resists rot, fire, and the wet PNW climate. We install standing seam, corrugated, and flat-lock metal panels across Tacoma, Seattle, Olympia, and the South Sound.

Modern metal cladding, clean and tight.

Standing seam, corrugated, flat-lock, and box-rib panels — in colors that handle PNW weather without fading. We’ll bring color samples and walk your home.

Why homeowners choose it

Why metal cladding works in the Pacific Northwest.

Rot-proof and fire-rated.

Metal does not absorb moisture, will not rot, and most profiles carry a Class A fire rating — useful for homes near Western Washington wildfire-risk zones.

30+ year finish.

Modern Kynar 500 PVDF paint systems are warrantied 30 to 40 years against chalking and fade — far longer than painted wood or fiber cement.

Clean modern aesthetic.

Standing seam vertical panels and flat-lock cladding give a sharp, contemporary look that pairs with stone, cedar accents, and large windows.

Low maintenance.

No repainting, no caulking re-do every five years. Wash with water; that is most of the maintenance plan.

Our install process

How a PrimeGuard metal cladding install actually runs.

  1. Free in-home estimate. Measure, walk the elevations, talk profile, color, and panel direction, email a written quote.
  2. Detailing drawings. For complex elevations we sketch corner, window, and roof-tie details before ordering material.
  3. Material order. Panels are cut to length at the supplier so on-site cutting is minimized.
  4. Tear-off & rot repair. Old siding off, any rot documented in photos and reviewed with you before repair.
  5. Weather barrier, furring & flashing. Fresh house wrap, vertical furring strips for rain-screen ventilation, custom-bent flashing at all openings.
  6. Metal panel install. Hidden fasteners where the profile allows. Crisp lines at corners, windows, and rooflines.
  7. Walkthrough. Final inspection with you. Touch-up paint and warranty paperwork delivered in writing.

FAQ

Quick answers homeowners ask.

Does metal siding dent?

Quality 24-26 gauge metal panels resist hail and impacts. Thinner residential gauges can dent if hit hard; we use commercial-grade gauges on exposed elevations.

Is metal cladding loud in the rain?

No. The house wrap, furring, and sheathing layer between metal and interior wall makes it sound essentially the same as any other siding from inside.

What colors are available?

Hundreds. Most manufacturers offer 30+ standard PVDF colors and custom colors are available for full-house orders.

Can metal be mixed with wood or fiber cement?

Absolutely — many of our favorite installs combine standing seam metal with cedar accents or Hardie panels.
